Sock Hop Day

Mrs. Brown our music teacher introduced our kindergarten students to the music of the 50's. She taught them how to do the dance moves to the Twist, Hand Jive, and the Bunny Hop. Thank you to our parents for getting into the spirit by dressing their children in 50's outfits. We hope you enjoy our pictures.

Shapes Are Everywhere

Leila Thomas a kindergarten student in Ms. Cook's class brought in this potato to share with her class. This demonstrates that our kindergarten students realize that shapes are all around us. Thank you Leila for sharing!

What Smells in Kindergarten

This week we are learning about our five senses. The classes participated in many hands on activities to explore touching, hearing, tasting, seeing, and tasting. One of the favorite activities was the "smelly" bags. The children were blindfolded and given the opportunity to smell different items. If they were lucky, they were able to guess the items. However, many items were "tricky" and they were surprised to see what they had smelled.
